Submitted URL not found (404)

    I am getting a lot of Submitted URL not found (404) errors on Google Search Console as my website is real estate and as listings expire they are deleted. However, Google Sitemaps is not updating the sitemaps fast enough and submitting 404 pages (deleted pages) to sitemaps.

    Anyway this can be fixed?

    Would you please try changing the “Change frequency” parameter to “daily” for the pages where you think they will be updated within a day?

    You would need to monitor that for several days until Google bot starts picking up the frequency parameter properly.
