    Hello USP team,

I like the extension simplicity. Using the extension, I have some questions:

    1. How can I block the pages and site content from being accesible and visible when a user wants to add a link in the text editor?

    2. How can I make users uploading only their images and avoid seing all site and users images in the text editor?

    3. How can I use [usp_display_posts userid=”current”] for displaying the posts in readable format, not just titles, but like wp format when you click on the username author and getting the “All post by username”?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Best regards

    Glad to help:

    1) I’m not sure exactly what you are asking here, but the plugin does provide access shortcodes like [usp_access] that enable you to control which users can use the form. You can find more info about these shortcodes on the Installation tab on the plugin homepage.

    2) When using the RTE/Visual editor and “Add Media” button, you can restrict which files the user may access by using a plugin such as this.

    3) Currently not a feature of the plugin.

Let me know if I can provide any further infos.

Thank you for your answer. Sorry I was not clear with my first question.

    1) No, it was not about access to use the form, it is about when the user is writting a post and uses the option of adding a link to a picture or some text in the rich text editor. When clicking on the chain icon to do so, there is two options, adding the URL or chosing one of the pages and posts of the site (gear icon). I want to disable users from seing the internal/admin pages and posts of the site.

    2) It looks the perfect solution. I will give it a try.

    3) OK

    Thank you

Thanks for explaining further for item #1, but still not able to picture it.. if you want to link to a screenshot or drawing or something that maybe shows what you are asking about, I will try to understand and help asap, thank you.

In Visual Editor, the chain icon indicates the option for inserting/editing a link in a text or picture, when clicking on it shows also an option to add existing content (pages, posts of the site). I want to disable this last option or restrict the visibility as for the images in question 2.

For example here in the wp support text editor, you can see “link”, it give the option of inserting a link but with no option for inserting existing content.

I hope it is more clear now, please let me know.

    Thank you

Ah okay.. you want to customize the WP RTE/Visual editor, correct? If so, there is not an option for it, but it may be possible by filtering the $usp_rte_settings variable (I haven’t tried it). Basically if you look at the plugin’s submission-form.php file, you will find the call to wp_editor(), as well as a couple of filter hooks to grab and customize the RTE arguments as desired. Again, not sure if WP enables that sort of specific customization with its editor, but if it is possible, then the plugin provides the hook(s) needed to make it happen.

Yes, for users frontend I think is more clean, they dont need that option in my opinion. I will see what I can do for this following your instructions.

    Thank you verry much

    Best regards
