In order to get the plug-in connected I deactivated the plug in and re-activated. (You can unsubscribe anytime)` checkbox on the frontend? * Nothing regarding opt-in checks/confirmations should have changed with the latest few releases. * Thread Starter [Arthur](https://wordpress.org/support/users/adrc/) * (@adrc) * [3 days, 7 hours ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/submit-button-wont-work-2/#post-18985008) * OK, well something is fishy. * When I subit the form with the “Yes, I would like to receive emails…” button checked and the comments field EMPTY the email sends. * When i send with the add to list checked and the field contains text it WILL NOT SEND. * When the add to list button is unchecked the form sends whether the field is filled or not. * Removing the COMMENT TEXTAREA allows the form to work no matter whether the ADD TO button is checked or not. * All of this is done with the form maker in the Constant Contact plug in. * I fave deleted and reentered the Comment field. If it’s only me I would love to know. * Here’s what i have done, tested on multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari on OSX 26.2), this is what happens. I created a new form. * When I have a Large Custom Text Field and have enabled “a checkbox so subscribers can opt-in to your email list”: 1. If there is NOTHING entered in the Large Custom Text Field and I check the box to be added to the Mailing List it works as intended. 2. If there is ANYTHING entered in the Large Custom Text Field and I check the box to be added to the Mailing List it sits there. No warning and never processes. 3. We can see how it behaves, etc. Also worth potentially testing with AJAX/”no refresh” toggled off, in case there are javascript issues preventing thing. * The only time a textarea is used is for a custom field storage.
