Submit button submits form inspite of required fields

Hi Caldera,
I am building a form with a lot of toggle switches. The toggles link to fields with conditional logic and required fields.
When I hit the submit form button it just processes the form.

I did expect it to come up with an error message about required fields not filled?

How can this be?
