    Hi Richard,

The only buttons we can hide via configuration are the ones listed under Directory Admin->Manage Options, General tab under “Directory Display Options”. If you want to get rid of the view button, you’d have to hack the output (again).

    Thanks for the prompt response.

Could you please direct me to the file and function I’d need to hack.

    Thanks,
    Richard

    Look in templates/listing-buttons.tpl.php, line 15.

I have a similar need but I do not have the listing-buttons.tpl.php file. Is this missing from the free version? Do I need to purchase the premium in order to remove that button?

    Hi terrisi,

That file should be in the free version. Look under the templates directory of the main plugin. It’s also possible that you have an older version. This would be on 2.1.x of the plugin.

Yes, I believe I’m in the right directory: /wp-content/plugins/business-directory-plugin/templates but no file by that name. I’m using v. 2.1.5.2 but see there’s a 2.1.6.1 available. I’ll download that and see if the file installs. I’ve just noticed that my listings are not showing the email address for the business even though it’s checked to show on the listing. I’ll do the download and see if things resolve. Will let you know.

Have updated to your latest version but still no listing-buttons.tpl.php file in your plug-in’s template directory.
Also still not showing the email address in the full listing view but I can research that a solution among the board’s other posts.
Could you suggest what to do about the missing file?
I wouldn’t think this would matter but I’ve using a child theme of the twentyeleven theme. I’m using wordpress 3.4.2

Solved email not showing by changing the field validator option to “no validator”.

Found the file. It is one directory deeper, inside the parts subdirectory of the templates directory.
