    Hello OceanWP Team,

I am having issues with the footers created using Ocean Extra.

I create a footer template (in OceanWP > My Library) using blocks. For example, I use the “Row Layout” block from Kadence Blocks and place a Heading block inside with white text.

In the Customizer (Appearance > Customize), the footer preview looks perfect.

However, when I view the live page, the footer displays incorrectly:

    • Incorrect Text Color: The text color changes. For example, it shows up as gray instead of the white color I set in the editor.
    • Incorrect Column Layout: On some pages, the column layout is completely different from what I selected (e.g., it displays 3 columns instead of the 4 I configured).

I have tried testing this with blocks from various developers (like Spectra, Kadence, etc.), and I experience similar issues with all of them.

I can confirm I am using both the OceanWP theme and the latest version of the Ocean Extra plugin.

Could you please let me know if this is a known bug or if there is a possible solution?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello @juanmazu03,

    Thank you for reaching out,

Please provide a live URL showing the issue, or send a few screenshots so we can see how you built the footer and check the layout problem.

Regarding styling, we have dedicated footer settings in the Customizer. Read this article for more information: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/904-customizer-footer-widgets.

Regarding the Column Layout issue: if you created the footer using OceanWP > My Library, you should see the footer on the site exactly as it appears in the template. The footer column styles will not come from the theme’s sidebar.

Please recheck your issue and keep us posted.

    I hope it helps,
    Best Regards

Hello @skalanter , thanks for your answer

I’m attaching some images that illustrate my problem. Unfortunately, I cannot share the URL as the project is still under maintenance.

View from the ‘View’ option in OceanWP -> My Library:

View from the Customizer (Appearance -> Customize):

View from the live website (using ‘Visit Site’ from the admin panel):

As you can see, the only difference in this case is that the color of the text is different. I can confirm that I do not have any custom CSS that might be modifying the text color.

    Thank you.

    Hello @juanmazu03,

    Thank you for the update.

Can you please explain to us step by step how we can reproduce the issue so we can recreate it somewhere other than your website.

and to better understand the condition of your website and the issue you are encountering, kindly provide us with your system environment information. To do this, please go to WP Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info Tab and click on the button Copy site info to clipboard. You can send the information as code here or upload them to http://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and get an exclusive link: https://i.postimg.cc/fbjtkFyJ/image.png (you can remove your email address from the content).

    _________

It seems it’s a cache issue, if you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, in Elementor, please don’t forget to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools; and finally use hard-refreshing keys and recheck the issue. To refresh the page, please follow the steps explained in this link:

Also, if it wasn’t cache, in the meantime, if possible, perform a basic troubleshooting checkup method and make sure the issue is related to our theme or plugin(s). To do this, deactivate all other plugins, then activate them one by one and check for this issue. Continue doing this until you find out what product is causing a conflict with our product. Then provide the details as explained above.

    Please keep us posted.
    Best Regards
