I can’t get subfolders to show on a category page. I had the same problem on another site, but there it was because I had the option to hide subfolders checked, but on this site, that’s not the case. I can’t use the button in the page/post because it doesn’t work, so I’m using the category shortcode. It displays files in the category but not folders. Any thoughts?

  • Any ideas? Sure could use a fix for this.

what is the exact shortcode you are using.

I was using [mdocs cat=”WC English”]. WC English is the top level folder I wanted to display. It would display the individual files, but not any folders within that folder. It worked fine up until recently, so I’m not sure if an update changed something.

    try this:

    [mdocs cat=”WC English” hide_folder=”false” sort_value=”default” is_descending=”true”]

That works. Is it supposed to work that way?

“mdocs cat=” is a deprecated shortcode and shouldn’t be used any more.. I have stopped supporting it. Instead you should be using the dropdown menu on the post/page editor to added folders and files.
