• I have a network of sites and the default site i was working was pointing to netsparsh.com, then i created a subdomain youtube.netsparsh.com when i was satisfied with it, i want my subdomain, http://youtube.netsparsh.com to point to main site netsparsh.com.

I installed the WordPress MU Domain Mapping Plugin, but now i am getting this strange redirect error on sign up, but probably once every 4-5 hours, it is not happening regularly i can sign up a new user properly, but when redirect loop happens my site goes down for 15-30 mins, i am not sure what is causing this issue, but after a lot of research it looks like, as i had the child site youtube.netsparsh.com now pointing to main parent site netsparsh.com, the sign up page is going to parent site and parent site again redirecting to child and then parent, it is going to a loop, how can i resolve this issue. Any pointers will be appreciated.

Domain mapping isn’t designed for what you are trying to do.

Remove the DM plugin and add a redirect to your htaccess.

but that wont solve my problem, i want the URL’s to still be netsparsh.com and not of the child domain, can you guide me.

The best way to accomplish what you want is export the content of the subdomain and import it into the main site.
