Hi, when cloning a website (site.com) and creating a new target URL (i.e. new.site.com) the process works as expected but the subdomain does not seem to be created.

When going to Network Admin > Sites the “dashboard” link points to new.site.com but the “visit” link points to site.com.

    Is this a bug?

For comparison, adding a new site natively creates the subdomain and points to it without issue. I’m running 5.5.1.

    Hi @studioraygun,

This is usually due to incorrect Network or DNS settings. I just tested the latest free version of Cloner along with WP 5.5.1 with subdomains and didn’t run into any issues.

I would contact your web host to for more on your wildcard subdomain setup.

Thank you for your quick reply!

I found a way around it: if I goto Network Admin > Sites > Edit a site > Settings

The Site URL is correct but the Home value does not include the subdomain. So:

    Site URL: new.site.com
    Home: site.com

I changed the Home URL to add the subdomain and the issues is resolved.
