Subdividing a corporate blog

After a couple hours on the google machine, I cannot find information on subdividing my site by topic area. In my instance, I am trying to configure a blog for a business that is broken down by topic (but still has an aggregation of all topics on the top level).

For example:

blogs.example.com/            (this has everything including all sub-topics)
blogs.example.com/topicA       (this has just topic A information)
blogs.example.com/topicB       (this has just topic B information)
blogs.example.com/topicB/faqs  (this has just topicB faqs)

Is this possible?
