Hello @cloontje,
Sorry, but I’m not sure if I’m getting the full picture here. It is possible for a subcategory to act as a parent category for another subcategory, in other words, a subcategory can have its own subcategory.

Hello Saif, that’s not exactly what i means.
Let me put it this way, i have a categorie: “animals” with the folowing subcategories: “dogs” “cats” “rabbits” “fish“.
Then i have another categorie: “Animals who lives in/on water”
Subcategorie: “Ducks” “crocodile” “fish“
Fish is the subcategorie of “animals” and the subcategorie of “Animals who lives in/on water”
Is it posible to add 1 subcategorie “fish” to 2 main categories “Animals” and “Animals who lives in/on water” ?

Hi @cloontje ,
Thanks for providing clarity!
Kindly note that, by default, a subcategory can only belong to a single main category. Therefore, you cannot directly assign the “Fish” subcategory to both the “Animals” category and the “Animals who live in/on water” category.
While the default functionality does not support assigning a subcategory to multiple categories, there are alternative solutions available to achieve similar results. One approach is to utilize plugins or customizations that introduce custom taxonomies or hierarchical tags.
While I do not know of any plugin or custom code that can help you achieve exactly this, and since custom code is outside our scope of support, it may be worthwhile doing a Google search to see if you can find anything that meets your requirements.
Alternatively, for help with custom code, you could hire a developer or ask your customisation questions in one of the channels below.
Cheers!
