New installation. Never had this issue before.

    http://freeweddingorganizer.co.uk/

Displays a holding page whereas the default post displays if accessed directly
    http://www.freeweddingorganizer.co.uk/uncategorized/hello-world/

I guess I've done something wrong, but for the life of me I don't know what.
Any help would be most appreciated.

You have place holder file in your root check if you have index.html if so delete the file as you can only have one index file and wordpress use index.php

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I only have one index.php and that's in the htdocs folder along with the rest of the wordpress install.
The top level (/) has two folders

cgi-bin (empty) and htdocs which contains the wordpress installation.

    Any help would be fantastic.

    Thanks for getting back govpatel.

No - I don't have such a file. If you click on the second link (in my first post) it actually takes you to a sub page of the site which displays just fine. It seems only the main URL is messed up. I can access posts if I type in the long URL to them directly. I can get into admin etc etc. The only thing that's missing is the main page.

I am using Filezilla and have selected "force show hidden files" - but there are definately no index or default HTML files on any level of the domain.

Would a total re-install help? - I'm really lost with this one. I have installed wordpress over 300 times to sites hosted all over the world in the past 4 years (mostly fantastico or similar but dozens of FTP installs as well) never had anything like this happen before.

    Tnanks again

Darn it - it just started working - I did nothing?
Maybe the provider hyad to flick a switch or something..

Thanks for the help. I'll be back if it messes up again - for the life of me I don't know what happened there.
