sub menus won’t open on hover since update

    I have updated to WP 5.5 today, only to find out that many of the buttons on the admin panel don’t appear to work properly.

    I no longer get the floating menu (there may be another term for this – the little side menu when you hover over certain buttons such as appearance) when hovering, and this has only occurred since the update as far as I’m aware?

    The same thing happened to my website, I always update the test copy of the website first and had no problems but after updating my main website the hover links no longer work.
    I’m subscribing to the topic, hopefully a solution could be found.

    Did you find a fix? I kind of have, it’s this.

    I downgraded to the previous WP version and now everything is back to normal as nothing else worked for me. (Used a plugin WP Downgrade).
