Sub menu items show up as top level in menu bar.

    I have a very simple menu, with two top level items and one item has two sub items. Like shown below:

    – top1
    – top2
    — sub2-1
    — sub2-2

    However, the menu bar shows:
    top1 top2 sub2-1 sub2-2.

    It has to be something stupid on my side, but can’t figure it out yet.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    This problem corrected itself after I added a 3rd top level menu item.

    Strange.

    Did it really correct it’self or did you happen to check the “Primary Menu” box in the menu program? I have had this same issue and I’m looking for what is changed in the code when you check the box.
