Hi WP Custom Admin Interface Team,

Loving your plugin and appreciate the time and effort put into it.

I install and try out a lot of plugins. I have noticed that when pressing the (Add newly added menu items) it does not always add items into already existing Menus. I just installed a plugin called Extensions for Elementor. It is supposed to install 3 top-level menus that all appear when pressing the (Add newly added menu items). It is also installing a sub-menu item into the Elementor menu, but this does not appear when clicking (Add newly added menu items). Is this a limitation of the system or not as planned? Also, I would love the menu items to be collapsed when starting WP Custom Admin Interface.

    Hi @mybcn,

I don’t have any current plans for making the menu collapsed for now, but it’s a good feature suggestion that I will take on board.

I am not sure why the newly added menu items didn’t get added for that plugin. On the pro version we provide direct support with other plugins on your particular environment.

    Thanks,

    Hi again,

Thank you for your input. I understand Pro gets support in a different way.

I can almost always find a way to recreate the missing Menu item in your plugin. This works 90% of the time by me disabling your plugin. I have even created a direct Menu item under the WP Custom Admin Interface menu to do so. I then check in the native WP environment what the new menu item links to, and simply copy the link from the address bar. When it does not work I always get the same error, a fullscreen page with just “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” I would use a link like this:

    https://guideventurous.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=elementor-extensions

Any suggestion on how to avoid this error? Also, I’m missing a consistent way of deleting Menu items. The only items I always can delete ar the separators. As soon as I save and Refresh I cannot delete anything else, not even the items I have created myself? Invoking “Advanced functionality” changes nothing in this regard, is this how it was designed?

    Hi @mybcn,

Have you tried switching to the advanced edit mode and changing the permission for the item? As I said on the free version I can’t guarantee compatibility with 3rd party plugins.

    Thanks,

    Hi again Martin,

Thank you for taking your time, despite this being the free version. I have managed to get it to work. It needed to be in a sub-menu, I tried to move the entry from a sub-menu up to the top-level menu but this I could not make to work.

As sub-menu the working config is:
    Extensions – elementor-extensions – manage_options

    As top menu, I try:
    Extensions – elementor-extensions – menu-top toplevel_page_elementor-extensions – manage_options

This takes me to wp-admin/elementor-extensions and I get “The page can’t be found.”. I also noticed that if I have this new top menu visible, the sub-menu item stops working with the “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”. I have tried with menu-top-last and menu-top-first, even menu-top but none work, I get the same not found. I have alternatively tried to reach the “page=elementor-extensions#widget_settings” that I want to target but cannot find any way to do so by looking at other top menu entries and copy the syntax.

I’m sorry to bother you but I have not been able to find any documentation on your plugin. If you can point me to it I can perhaps figure this out myself, since this is the free version? Alternatively, I am OK with it being in the sub-menu, now it’s just personal pride that I fail to move the menu item from sub to top, you let me know.

Thank you for taking your time with this,

    Hi @mybcn,

There’s no documentation for the plugin, apart from the FAQ’s in the help page.

    Thanks,
