Support » Fixing WordPress » Sub-menu is behind page header

  • I was helping make a website for a friend, and I got a new “picante” theme to go along with it. How ever, for some odd reason the sub-menu is hidden behind all the page content, and this applies for every page on the website. I have read that you can change the z-index, so I did. I had changed the z-index as such, that the menu and sub-menu are the same and are higher than the page content, but all that has done is disrupted the menu. If it helps, I am used codeless page builder to make the pages, but I think it’s more a theme related issue.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Hi there, you should contact the theme author about this issue. It is a Themeforest theme and as such can’t be supported here. Good job on trying to fix the z-index thing, which is great, but the fixed height of the header along with some issues with the dropdown code might be your issue here. Try another theme to confirm though. You can use the Troubleshooting plugin to test such things out – https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
