# Sub menu drop down

 * I have been trying to add some child pages to a parent page in a drop down menu
   on our site. Before I would drag and drop the child page (in appearance, menu)
   slightly to the right of the parent page. It would then add it as a drop down
   menu. It moves it to the right but when I save the menu it moves it back to the
   left and doesn’t show in a drop down menu.

 * I’ve tried making my gallery plugin and seo plugin not active but it didn’t help.
 * Any ideas!?

 * You appear to be be using a custom theme. Have you tried contacting the theme’s
   developer? In the meantime have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder – from 
   a **fresh** download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of
   files & folder before uploading the new ones.
