Support » Plugin: WordPress Media Library Folders » Sub folders in folder tree not appearing

    Hi

I had a previous version of MLF (not pro). After upgrading to the latest version of WP, I upgraded the MLF plugin as well.

Now, I can see the folder tree correctly, but not the sub folders. The cPanel shows the correct folder structure as before under ‘Uploads’. I haven’t messed around there.

As per the FQA “Folder Tree Not Loading”, I followed all the steps… My steps are in CAPS below.

Install the latest version of Media Library Folders. – DONE.
Deactivate Media Library Folders – DONE
Activate Media Library Folders Reset – DONE.
Run the Reset Database option from the Media Library Folders Reset sub menu in the dashboard.” -> I cannot see the MLF Reset sub menu in the dashboard.

Am I missing something or do I need do perform any other actions.

    Thanks for the great plugin.

    Cheers,
    Manoj

  • Hi Alan

Maybe I can change one of my sites to 7.3 and test what happens.
I have one environment which is not critical.
I will let you know the results

Sounds good. You can turn on WordPress debugging and send me the debug.log.

    Hi Alan

I did sent you the information to your direct email
It is running properly with PHP 7.3.14 on my installation.
Even with version PHP 7.4 it shows the subfolders

[EDIT : DO NOT TAKE IT INTO ACCOUNT]

    Hello,

    I have the same issue.
I can see the folders on the server but even if I check and sync for new folders, not every folders appear (I did click on the white arrow) in the tree, only some of them.
If, for instance, I try to add a non-appearing folder (but existing in the tree) it says “The folder already exists.” so I guess it is a front tree issue.

Can you advise on to do ?

    Thank you

    PS : I am running PHP 7.4

EDIT : it is all fixed, I didn’t find the reset plugin but after looking at the “Installed plugins” tab, I understood it was coming with the main plugin so I just deactivated the main one, activated the reset one, reseted DB, deactivated the reset one and reactivated the main one. Folders have been found and all is fine.

To solve it quickly, you need to us PHP version 7.2 !!
    There is no fix yet
    Regards,
    Peter

Do you mean that it will happen again if I keep PHP 7.4 ?

Yes for now it is the only solution. There have been made major changes from version 7.2 upwards
