• I have a new multisite install using sub domains. Do I have to create the sub domains manually in, eg. Cpanel, and do i have to install wp manually on sub domains. I am asking because my new install looks fine but when i try to go to the sub domain dashboard i get a 404 cant find error and when i check in cpanel there are no sub domains and no install in the subdomain i created manually to test….

I have checked with uk2 and they say dns and apache settings all correct. I have created the wildcard sub domain, i have made all the file changes and been through the trouble shooting

You either have to manually make the subdomains abd point them back to public_html or you have to make a wildcard subdomain in cpanel (value *) and point it to the location /

    Yes, * and /

If you did that right, then blahblahfishcakes.yourdomain.com will send you back to yourdomain.com

However you HAVE a post for this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/addon-and-sub-domains?replies=6

Please don’t make duplicates, it makes more work for everyone.
