So when I put wordpress on the root directory of my site it works, but if I try to install it in say: http://www.thisisnmysite.com/blog/ then it doesnt work. It loses the .css file, and if I click any of the links such as log in it tries to go to http://www.thisismysite.com/wp-login.php where it should be going to http://www.thisismysite/blog/wp-login. I installed it by changing the wordpress folder name to blog then uploading it to my server in the root directory, "www.thisismysite.com/".

Im sure this is a simple fix but its driving me nuts.

You need to have all the files in /blog then change the two urls to be /blog too.
If you can't login to the blog, phpmyadmin will help.

You also need to change the website urls under Options > General.

EDIT: didn't see Podz had said the same thing.
