    I have a parent-category of “printed catalogues”
    I have a sub-category of “digital catalogues”

    When I go to “printed catalogues” the page displays;

“digital catalogues” category (link to sub-category)
    all instances of “printed catalogues”
all instances of “digital catalogues” AS WELL!
Is it possible to make the page NOT display “digital catalogues” until the sub-category has been entered?

    ALSO

On my initial shop page, printed catalogues only displays number count of that category BUT doesn’t include count of sub-category as well – is this a bug?

  • The three options for Category display are:

    • Show products
    • Show sub categories
    • Show both

Unfortunately there isn’t an option for “Show Sub categories and products only in this category level”

You’d need to custom code the product loop template – archive-product.php

Not sure about the category number display.

    Thought as much.
But many thanks for the getting back and providing some guidance and information.
If I get it working I’ll post back a solution as I think it would be an enhancement.

It’s a good idea, maybe I’ll have some time to add it!

    Good luck!

Hi guys, do You happen to find a solution for that? I’m struggling to get make it work, but no results.

No – there isn’t a solution, it’s a small limitation to how the system works.
