# Sub categorizing question

 * Is it possible to arrange sub-categories in the following way:
 * The first page has say, these main categories:
    Africa America Asia Europe
 * And when clicked on, each respective sub-category is shown on the following page
   in the sidebar. As in, when you click on Africa, the sidebar displays nations
   under Africa, when you click on Europe, the sidebar displays nations under Europe,
   and so forth; but they are not displayed on the first page; only after you click
   on each main category?
 * Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 * Right, the categories should appear as on the site you linked to, e.g,
    cat1 (
   19) cat2 (22) cat3 (14) etc

 * Actually, I’ve uploded the widget but it doesn’t display.
    I’m using the WordPress
   Default theme, and they (Automatic) mention something about the Kubrick theme,
   or a supporting theme…uh, does that mean I have to redo all the editing by changing
   theme? Can’t this widget be used with the Default theme?

 * it can.. did you also install the king framework?
    all the king plugins need 
   the framework to run.

 * Thanks. But argh, though.. I installed the king framework as well, and activated
   the “sidebar widget” inside WP under “plugins”, yet nothing shows up.
 * The current folder structure is (bold=newly uploaded):
    - -wordpress
    -  -wp-content
 *  -  -wp-plugins
 *  - **-king-includes**
    - ** -widgets **
    -  ** delicious.php**
    - ** gsearch.php**
    - ** rss.png**
    - ** widgets.php**
    -  ** -classic**
    -  ** -default**
    - ** -scriptaculous **
    -  ** the js files…**
 * The theme is Default, and the WP version is 2.0.5.
    Happen to know what could
   be wrong?

 * Forget it. I figured it out. It was a matter of adding the php code to the sidebar.
   php and the functions.php (:). The sidebar widget item now shows under “Presentation”.
