Can I style the caption in any way so that I can display headings, links, bulletpoints, etc? Right now everything is displayed in one big chunk. If I try to add a heading then everything moves under the the slider.

Hey! The caption is not intended to be any more than a line or two of plain text. You're better off editing the slide image and adding the text onto the image itself using Photoshop or Gimp etc.

    Captain Theme:

I understand, but it's better for lots of reasons to allow for styling the text.

My issue, though, is the CSS... It's not terribly easy to restyle.

Yeah I'm sorry, it's just how the Flexslider (the slider plugin Captain Slider uses) works. I'll try and improve this in later versions but it's still better to add text how you'd like it to your images.
