    Hi Tobias,

Thank you for your tireless work answer these support questions!

I have a question regarding styling TablePress buttons (ie. the buttons which are generate by the Buttons Extensions). I’ve noticed from looking at the default stylesheet which is loaded into the the extension that in most cases there are three selectors for any button (these are: button.dt-button, div.dt-button, a.dt-button). From my experience it seems that only the button.dt-button is ever used. I was just wondering under what circumstances the other selectors are required and whether in overriding the default styles I also would need to use all three selectors, or is it enough just to use button.dt-button?

    Thank you and kind regards,
    David.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

In short: You will only need to override the CSS selectors that are in use, i.e. override until everything looks like you want it.
These extra CSS selectors are part of the DataTables Buttons default CSS, and they can be active if someone deliberately changed the used HTML tags. This would require extra code changes though, so that you can ignore these if you use the standard setup with TablePress.

    Regards,
    Tobias
