 * I’m trying to style my submenu. I’ve tried .menu ul {background: #222;} and a
   bunch of other classes with no luck.

 * [Get Firebug](http://getfirebug.com/) and read this nice article: [http://www.studiopress.com/tips/using-firebug.htm](http://www.studiopress.com/tips/using-firebug.htm)

 * I use Chrome. How is this any different from Inspect Element? I just need to
   know the specific class.

 * This seems to work:
 * .navigation-main ul ul li {
    background-color: red; }
 * For CSS only questions, you may want to try a forum such as:

 * Thanks! I’ll check it out. Could you look at [potionbear.com](http://potionbear.com).
   That code worked but it doesn’t cover the entire submenu. The text is oddly out
   of place.

 * That doesn’t have anything to do with the background colour change.

 * CSS is commonly used when building websites. It is not specific to WordPress.
   Why not utilise forums that concentrate on CSS support, forums like the suggested
   above or [http://welovecss.com](http://welovecss.com) ?

 * I’ll do that. Thanks.
