stylesheet missing

  • Last night my themes worked fine, yet I awoke to an error in the Presentation view stating all of my stylesheets are missing. I uninstalled, reinstalled and I’m egtting the same error, even with the bundled themes. What’s up with that?

  • Also, I can see the stylesheets, I have no duplicated folders (ie. wp-content/theme/themename/themename/…)
and the theme permissions are set to 777.

If you did nothing at all, then you should check with your host to see if THEY did something. And leaving theme permissions set at 777 is asking to be hacked.

I so know 777 is BAD. I am desperate to get this thing to work again so i’m trying anything I can think of.

I checked with the host and they say nothing happened on their end. I uninstalled and reloaded again and I have the same problem. I figure I must have done something to mess this up, but what?
Do you think there’s anything else I can try?

Honest, katie…. if you did NOTHING (no plugins installed, no upgrades, no other programs/scripts uploaded/run on your webspace?) then I don’t give a rat’s ass what your host says. It has to be either something they did, or somebody hacked you (pretty unlikely, even given 777 on your theme folders, because if that had happened, you really would know….)

My long-time host (5+ years….) denied mod_security ruleset changes to me for several weeks…. They lied. Ask your host again. (Who IS your host, btw?)
