• I installed the Styles plugin, then the styles twenty twelve plugin, then followed the tutorial for adapting twenty twelve to the theme I am using (Goran). I also cleared the styles.css in the new styles-goran directory. I have not made any changes to the .json file but proceeded to begin testing the customizers after activating the styles-goran plugin I had created. I was able to change several font settings, seeing the changes live. I clicked save and publish and all seemed well – except when I view the site, the changes were not made.

I am still a beginner WordPress user and have not learned any CSS editing and would love to be able to use the Styles plugin since it will cover nearly all my needs, but I’m beginning to think I will need to learn CSS editing to get further.

It sounds like there may be a caching issue. Viewing source on your front page will show whether Styles is outputting any CSS into the header… But there are also lots of ways to make sure the output you’re viewing isn’t cached:

    * Hold shift and click refresh
    * Add a unique query to the end of the URL. For example, add ?v=2 to the end of the address
    * Clear cache if you’re running WordPress plugins or a CDN like CloudFlare.

If only some changes aren’t showing, there may be a conflicting plugin or stylesheet. Try disabling other plugins.
