[Resolved] style.css of a child theme opens as a style2.css

  • Hi,
    I have a problem with the name of style.css sheets.
    1. I’l make a new file with txt:
    /*
    Theme Name: Twenty Thirteen Child
    Theme URI: http://example.com/twenty-thirteen-child/
    Description: Twenty Thirteen Child Theme
    Author: John Doe
    Author URI: http://example.com
    Template: twentythirteen
    Version: 1.0.0
    */

    @import url(“../twentythirteen/style.css”);

    /* =Theme customization starts here
    ————————————————————– */

    2. I’ll upload the file in content/themes/child theme
    3. The child theme is not visible in appearance, because the stylesheet is style2 or3 or4-5-6-.css.The number depends of how many stylesheets I have.

    Any help, please?

    @anevins

    How many stylesheets do you have in your Child Theme?

    Hi Andrew,
    I have only one stylesheet. The one I desperately want to name style.css and automatically turns into style2.css
    I think is something to do with TextWrangler’s settings but no idea how.

    I think is something to do with TextWrangler’s settings but no idea how.

    Do you have more than one style.css file open?

    Try deleting that file(s) on your local computer, quitting TextWrangler and then making a new file. Save as style.css on your local computer. Does it work there?

    What are you using to upload it to the server?

    Hi WPyogi,
    I didn’t have more open files in TWrangler but I had style.css on my desktop.I’ve cleaned the desktop and now I don’t have problems.
    Thank you guys for your suggestions!
