    Hey Jacklyn
I clicked over but got an error about database connection. More than likely you’ll need to be more specific with your css, or use !important to override.

I tried .jorgen .aesop-quote-component, .single-post .aesop-quote-component, and a few other variations where I take a higher level parent class followed by .aesop-quote-component. I also included !important for all of them, but I can’t seem to get the style to even show up on the inspector.

Just to test whether or not style.css was being rendered, I also added a reference to a Google Font for the body (changed the font color to red) and included the link href within header.php and that didn’t get picked up either.

I think I might be missing something obvious, but I’m really not sure what it is.

Put your css in a plugin. When Jorgen is updated all of that will be erased. Use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS, and put your CSS there instead.

    Sounds good!
