 * In my webstats I see that I am getting a lot of hits on the following:

   wp-content/themes/mytheme/ style.css)
 * Is it normal that people can view this file directly

 * Yes, since it should be linked to in your header.php it will be downloaded by
   your visitors browsers everytime they view your site (and it is no longer cached
   by their browser) 🙂
