  • Using the “WordPress.fun” theme from Smashing Magazine.

    Running into a problem that I lack the expertise to solve, wonder if someone here can peek at it.

    If you look at this page and scroll to the bottom, you’ll see my issue (in Chrome, at least).

    The “sub-container” DIV, which holds the bottom three colored boxes, is overlapping the main content DIV above it and obscuring some of the content, and for some reason a graphic effect from the main content DIV jumps to the top and covers the box.

    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Much appreciated in advance.

  • The problem is the #main div. It doesn’t extend far enough down to push the sub-container div down below the #content div which overflows it. I can’t find a way of making the #main div extend far enough. Maybe somebody else can see what to do.

    On the example page you give, you can cheat:

    .sub-container {
      margin-top: 90px;
    }

    But that’s a terrible hack.

    Have you tried the theme’s support?

    Cheers

    Yeah, searched around awhile to try and come up with another answer; experimented with a bunch of solutions on my own before I brought it here. Will keep the “terrible hack” in mind as a last resort – thanks!

    Just to close this – went with the “terrible hack” above and for now, it’s working like a charm.
