Hello, I am having several issues building out my course. I am new to Tutor LMS so please forgive me. I have created the skeleton for my course and need to upload content.

    Here is the first page:

    https://backtohuman.us/Ketogenic%20Living/ketogenic-living/

With this, no matter how many times I change the URL, it duplicates ketogenic living. How can I get this to just say it once?

On this page, under the course content I had the price listed with the option to add to cart. Once I clicked this though, instead of bringing me to cart it just brought me to a login screen instead of a cart or checkout. This would be a problem considering if a new sign up were to purchase the course, they would not have an account unless they’ve previously registered. Is it possible to prompt them to register while checking out?

Also, with the student registration page I get a message that says, “Ooooh! Access Denied! You do not have access to this area of the application. Please refer to your system administrator”

How are people supposed to register and purchase the course then?

Help would be greatly appreciated with any of these issues. Thank you

  • Hi,

Thank you for reaching out! Let me address each of your concerns step by step:

    1. To resolve the duplicate “ketogenic-living” in your URL, navigate to WordPress Settings > Permalinks, set the structure to Post Name, and click Save Changes. This should fix the issue.
    2. To enable guest purchases and ensure a smooth checkout process for new users, please follow these steps:
      • Go to Tutor LMS Settings > Monetization and enable Guest Purchase.
        Here’s a screenshot for guidance.
      • Then, configure WooCommerce settings to allow account creation during checkout:
        1. Navigate to WP Admin > WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy (tab).
        2. Enable the following options:
          • Allow customers to log into an existing account during checkout.
          • Allow customers to create an account during checkout.
        3. Click Save Changes.
      • You can follow this detailed documentation on Guest Purchase for more clarity.
    3. The error you’re encountering might occur if user registration is not enabled.
      • Go to WordPress Settings > General.
      • Ensure the “Anyone can register” option is checked.
        Here’s a screenshot for reference.
      • Save the changes, and the registration page should work as expected.

Let me know if you encounter any further issues, and I’d be happy to assist you!

    Thank you.

Thank you so much for your help! The course is now sellable and customers are able to register.

Although I changed the permalink structure to Post Name, it still produces the same result. In the course builder page when I edit the course URL to just be blank and then I update, it repopulates that field with the duplicate name.

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you again!

    Hi @jandriella ,

I’m glad to hear that your other issues were resolved! Regarding the permalink issue, could you try selecting a course archive page and check if that resolves the problem? Sometimes, setting the correct archive page can help with permalink issues.

If the problem still persists after that, it might be something specific to your website setup. In that case, I would suggest troubleshooting the permalink settings further, or potentially checking for any conflicts with your theme or plugins.

Let me know how it goes, and feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance!

    Thank you.

Hello, I have gotten my course up and running for the most part, but I do need some additional help if possible.

I would like to hide the “About Lesson” that shows up at the top of each lesson. When I go to design, it allows me to change text color and I can hide it if I choose black (I have a black background) it will hide it, but I’d like to remove it as I am using a Divi Builder and will have my “About” section below my videos. This is what I mean: https://prnt.sc/2pcjVL43-kiP . I’d like to remove the top please.

If I change the text to black, it makes it so nothing can be read in the student dashboard aside from what is highlighted. I’d like the dashboard text to be all white when it is on a black background. Here is what I mean in the student dashboard: https://prnt.sc/qWD6QEopHvlh

If I choose black text it is makes everything along with the student name unreadable. If I choose white though, nothing shows up in the white “Active Courses” boxes.

How can I resolve these issues?

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out! To resolve these issues, you’ll need to use custom CSS.
