Stuck on "submitting…"

    Hello,

    A few people trying to sign up for my email list via the Mailbag plugin have told me the form gets endlessly stuck on the “submitting…” message.

    Any ideas why this might be happening? It seems to occur only occasionally — the majority of people are able to successfully subscribe.

    Hi Logan,

    This is likely due to MailChimp’s server not responding quick enough to the subscription request. There isn’t too much we can do about that, unfortunately. You could try the MailChimp for WordPress plugin, that may have more options for how the form is submitted.

    Logan, do you know why there is no page for the Mailbag plugin? I purchased a Themeforest theme yesterday that uses mailbag shortcodes but I can’t install the plugin because it doesn’t exist in WordPress plugin searches. When I go to the plugin page on WordPress.org, there’s a “Whoops, we couldn’t find that plugin” message.

    Any ideas?

    Hey there,

    We’ve disabled Mailbag for the time being in favor of the MailChimp for WordPress plugin, which does everything that Mailbag does, but way better.

    We’ll be updating this in the docs and demo shortly!

    Thank you for the info about the alternate plugin, ArrayHQ. I installed that one instead. I appreciate your help and quick response!
