Struggling with latest Plugin

Hi Everyone,

Last week I tried to update the Ocean Extra plug-in and it majorly screwed up my blog. I had to roll back all my plug-in updates and then it was okay. (Fatal error message I got below). Tonight I tried again to update the plug-in, and it again made tons of things disappear on my homepage, so I rolled it back.

Do I have to update the Ocean WP theme first if I want to update the plug-in, is that what is wrong? I’m scared to updated the theme since I’m worried I’ll lose all my customization.
