Struggling to set up DM with Mailchimp lock for multiple download files

Using Download Monitor with Mailchimp lock for a client site. I can’t quite seem to get them to work the way I want.

I have two test downloads on an existing “downloads” page. When clicked, they always go to the “No access” page. That’s fine; the user has to enter their email somehow. But the problem: Suppose someone is already on our Mailchimp list. The form simple says “That email is already registered”–but it doesn’t spawn the download! So, appears to be no way for someone who is already registered to download anything.

Second issue: Suppose someone does sign up. I would like to be able to redirect them right to the file location. But we have multiple files, so I can’t redirect to a specific file location from a single form. And I don’t want to create a separate sign-up form for each download. That will be nuts.

Any ideas? Does Download Manager have a customer service line or email?
