• Hi guys. I use WooCommerce as an ecommerce plugin. When I create a new product, I can include the product’s information in either a “Product Description” field or a “Short Product Description” field.

If I put my product’s information in the “Product Description” field and save the item, Yoast’s SEO plugin tells me I’m good to go, and that my keyword phrase has been detected in the body of my page. However, when I go to fetch my product’s URL using Google’s structured data testing tool, my product “description” fields are completely empty.

However! If I move the information from the “Product Description” field to the “Short Product Description” field, and then fetch the URL with this change, the description field populates with information. BUT my SEO plugin tells me that there’s nothing in the body section of my product!

So as you can see, I am getting very contradictory information from Google and Yoast, and I’m not sure what to do about it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? For the time being, I am going to use the “Short Product Description” field to provide information about my products due to the fact that Google’s tool is detecting the information.
