 * Hi there,
 * Rank Math user here, looking for another SEO. Yours looks pretty good.
 * I had some questions before switching to yours :
    1. Does your plugin write into the database queries ?
    2. Everywhere (even on semrush), it’s saying that schema markup is important. Most
SEO plugins provide article type for free. In your case, it seems it is a premium
solution (Articles extension). So, are there no structured data types/ markup
       schema in the free version?
    3. I’ve got an e-commerce and use Judge Me plugin for reviews. It sends rich snippets.
Is your plugin compatible with the plugin and its feature?
    4. For an e-commerce, is the free version good (for seo, markup, woocommerce integration,
markup) or would I need to get the premium one ?
 * Cheers and happy new year !

 * Hey, I will answer what I can — I am SEO doer in our company, the actual developer
will stop by later. Can you clarify question number 1 for us? Thank you.
 * Question 2: First off, SEMRUSH is not an authority on SEO. Last time I was speaking
at WordCamp in Prague, I pointed out with evidence they are allowing paid guests
posts, effectively creating a PBN on their blog. What is worse, those guest authors
often cared more about “being published on SEMRUSH” than doing proper research.
Do not get me wrong, it is an amazing tool I use myself and if your website is
big enough it is almost necessary to use SEMRUSH or AHREFS, but I recommend and
trust the later currently. Remember, these companies care only about profit.
Their imperative is to keep SEO complicated, while we will do everything to make
SEO easy. Those 100k-200k websites using TSF rank just fine… why? Great content.
 * The structured data TSF has are just fine, even the free version. The important,
product SEO metadata are there and there is a reason you might want to trust
   us with Woo:
 * Question 3: The SEO Framework is the fastest and most secure SEO plugin for WordPress
and our main source of income is that 1% of Woo sites that need fast and reliable
plugin. I do not know Judge Me for Woo, but we always worked with other devs
to make our plugins compatible — granted that authors of the other plugins want
to cooperate. TSF is written in a way it should work with well written plugins
out of the box. In those rare instances when this wasn’t the case, we always
made plugins compatible.- I am not promising anything, but it is trivial to modify
TSF to not output something other plugins does (if you want that).
 * Overall, I would say switching SEO plugins is a pain in the arse. I have my guesses
why you want to switch, but really consider what you are doing — not that I do
not want you as our user, but switching SEO plugins is just not something you
should do lightly. We do offer free “transport” plugin, so it is very much possible
   and on the table.
 * I obviously think we are doing SEO better than any other SEO plugin, but I am
biased. I recommend learning about companies owning SEO plugins, if and where
they are paying taxes and what are their actual motivations. For us, it is not
mainly cash — TSF has no ads, upsell and it does not require account to use.
We also do not spy on you, do not phone home and care about privacy.
 * I understand you probably do not care that deeply about SEO as we do, you just
want to get your job done.
 * All I can tell you, if you pick TSF you would be in decent company.
 * Have a nice 2024, I hope it will be better for all of us!

 * Hi Pierre,
 * Thanks for replying so fast.
 * First of all : Isn’t there something missing at the end your sentence : “there
is a reason you might want to trust us with Woo: ” ? I was left hanging there
   🙂
 * To reply about point 2 (which is my main worry) , I had been reading that now
structured data and schema markup were important nowadays. I saw that Schema
markup was only in the paid extension (Articles). So I was worried about needing
the pro version to rank well.
 * I have an e-commerce in a competitive landscape. So I concentrate a lot on good
writing for my products page & the different blog/posts pages and was worried
it might go to waste because I do not have this schema markup thing
 * I hope that’s clear. That’s the only thing stopping me right now from switching
   right away.

 * Hello!
 * 1. TSF writes to the database to store SEO settings, cache, post-, user-, and
term metadata. We strictly use WordPress’s APIs unless there’s a good reason
not to, and everything’s thoroughly tested for performance bottlenecks. You can
find more about that here: [https://tsf.fyi/kb/data-stored-in-your-database/](https://tsf.fyi/kb/data-stored-in-your-database/).
Is there a reason you are concerned about this?
 * 2. You can find all the structured data TSF supports at [https://tsf.fyi/kb/structureddata](https://tsf.fyi/kb/structureddata).
The Articles extension is premium because only established sites benefit from
this, and those can almost always afford to spend a buck to support our work.
Note that structured data doesn’t promote ranking; it only helps with pages that
   already rank.
 * 3. Google Search Console is the only right resource for inspecting structured
data issues. Still, you can preliminarily use their Rich Results Test to find
if “Judge Me”‘s and WooCommerce’s data are being picked up: [https://search.google.com/test/rich-results](https://search.google.com/test/rich-results).
Note that it doesn’t convey when, what, if, and how Google actually uses your
   structured data.
 * 4. TSF does not need to provide structured data markup for WooCommerce — WooCommerce
already does this out of the box, and TSF is compatible with it. If you seek
any further affirmation, TSF is [listed on their site](https://woo.com/products/the-seo-framework-premium/).

 * Thanks for all these explanations and links.
    1. I was recently looking for database queries through Query Monitor & saw that
my actual SEO plugin (Rank Math) made a lot of queries. So I was wondering if
it was usual and yours did too. That’s why.
    2. If I take the reverse : I’ve got a 1-year ecommerce (So not established) and
using an SEO plugin (Rank Math) with Articles schema. Would the already ranking
post/blog/pages get downgraded with your free version without this Article Schema?
Or is it that not being established, there’s no impact on ranking and only the
       quality content matters ?
    3. Thanks for the link. So with RankMath, both Woocommerce & Judge Me are being
picked up. That should also be the case with your plugin, I’d guess ?
    4. Thank you for this explanation. Pretty impressive to have the Woo team vouch
for you on their website !

 * 1. TSF adds about 0 to 4 queries to every request. Often, this is because we
need to get author information or generate a breadcrumb path. More requests are
attributed to TSF by Query Monitor, but that’s only because TSF requests some
post data earlier than WordPress. WordPress later reads that same data from its(
internal) object caches — without needing to repeat the query. This is why adhering
to the WordPress API is worthwhile.
 * Rank Math adds about 20 queries for every request; some are pattern queries,
   significantly affecting performance.
 * 2. I doubt there will be any changes in the search performance because of this.
TSF also outputs most of the Article data, albeit without specifics like the
author’s URL, images, and the specific type of page (Article, NewsArticle, BlogPosting).
 * 3. Yes.
 * 4. 😊
 * Let me know if you have any more questions! Cheers 🙂
