[Resolved] Stripping Youtube Code

  • I fail to see the logic in preventing the use of Embed code on a post, if I want it.

Problem 1 – I have 1000s of old post which have embed coded you tube code in them. Every time I go back and edit one of these posts, the *#(#*% code gets stripped out of it.

Problem 2 – The “right” you tube url is not obvious. It requires a special format which is a major hassel to rememebr.

Problem 3 – It’s one more thing to train newbie writers on which makes for a huge hassel.

Problem 4 – new services pop up all the time with their own goofy code which may not work now.

WordPress has introduced a bug, not a feature by making it so difficult to use simple embed code in posts.

Is there at least a plugin to allow it? Can there be?
