I am trying to set up stripe as the payment gateway to my very small shop front.
I am using the free version of woocommerce – without jetpack as jetpack interferes with elementor. When I test if the stripe payment gateway works I get a message saying unable to process payment. I place an item in the basket. I proceed to checkout. I use the stripe credit card number for the UK. I add an expiry date and a made up cvc. Then I get a message saying unable to process the payment try an alternative. At the moment I’m only using stripe. As far as I can tell (!?) stripe is set up correctly …?. However, I have to own that I am very new to this. I was wondering if I just clear all the stripe keys and start again might that work? I thought I could nut it all out, but it feels beyond me…any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

    Hi Debs,

Is Stripe in sandbox mode? I’d recommend going through the setup steps again and confirm things have been set up correctly: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#setup-and-configuration

I added a product to cart and went to checkout page, however, I didn’t see Stripe there. It seems you might have disabled the option?

Could you share your System Status Report, it would help us to understand your site setup a bit better. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your reply.
