Hi @nejcox –
Only the payment methods that Stripe supports can be used. While those vary by country, you can see the full list on Stripe’s website:
https://stripe.com/payments/features#cards
You’ll see that Maestro is on the list of supported payment methods.
Are you experiencing difficulties with accepting Maestro on your site?

Stripe should support Maestro also in Slovenia, where I’m using the extension, because they have Maestro’s logo on Slovenian Stripe page: https://stripe.com/en-si/pricing
Cardinity payment gateway works fine with Maestro (it recognizes it), but WooCommerce for Stripe does not. Also there is no logo for Maestro.
Maestro’s card number is longer than the standard xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
So yes, I’m experiencing difficulties with accepting Maestro on my site.
Stripe’s reply:
“Alec from Stripe Support here – thanks for reaching out!
I see that you’re trying to integrate Maestro payments into your WooCommerce site. It would be best to contact them about that integration as it may require a specific plugin on their end. You can contact them here: https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/”
But I’m not so sure anymore. On Stripe dashboard:
“Cards Live
Accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express payments from customers worldwide.”
Maestro is not mentioned here.

Hey @nejcox
We should have got a reply to your quicker – sorry about that. I’ve logged an Issue on our GitHub about this to confirm if our extension handles Maestro cards – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/1167
To confirm – Stripe.com the payment gateway do support Maestro cards but the support would be dependant on the integration.
I’ll close off this support thread, please do follow along on the GitHub thread for more updates.
