 * Hi [@viji421](https://wordpress.org/support/users/viji421/)
 * > Dear support team, currently I am unable to save any settings
 * I see that you’re having trouble saving settings on your Stripe Payment Plugin.
I’m sorry to hear about this and I’m here to help you get through it.
 * The ‘Error saving settings’ message and the ‘Failed to load resource: the server
responded with a status of 403 ()’ that you’re seeing usually point to a permissions
issue. This means that the server isn’t letting you perform the action you want
to. Here’s what you can do to fix it:
    1. **Check File Permissions**: Make sure your WooCommerce and WordPress files have
       the right permissions.
    2. **Check .htaccess File**: Your .htaccess file in your WordPress installation
could be corrupted. Try renaming it to .htaccess_old and see if the problem
continues. If it does, you can regenerate the .htaccess file by going to **Settings
       > Permalinks** and clicking ‘**Save Changes**‘.
    3. **Disable Plugins**: Try turning off all other plugins except WooCommerce to
see if one of them is causing the problem. If this fixes the issue, you can
turn the plugins back on one at a time to find out which one is causing the
       conflict.
    4. **Switch Themes**: Try using a default WordPress theme like Storefront for a
while to see if your current theme is the problem. Here’s a helpful guide on
how to test for conflicts: 👉 [**How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts**](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/)
    5. **Contact Your Hosting Provider**: If you’ve tried everything else and you’re
still having trouble, it could be a problem with your server. You can get in
touch with your hosting provider and ask them to check if there are any server-
side restrictions causing the 403 error.
 * If you’ve tried all these steps and you’re still having trouble, could you give
me a bit more information? I’d like to know when this problem started, whether
you installed any new plugins or themes recently, and if there are any other
   error messages you’re seeing.
 * It would also be great if you could share your site’s System Status report. This
will give us a clearer picture of your site’s setup and could help us identify
the issue. You can find it via `**WooCommerce > Status**`. Select `**Get system
   report**` and then `**Copy for support**`.
 * If there are any **fatal error logs**, please share them as well. You can locate
   these under `**WooCommerce > Status > Logs**`.
 * Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it inside a Code block in
   your reply, or use [](https://pastebin.com)**[https://pastebin.com](https://pastebin.com)**
to paste it and share the link with us.
 * Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you
   get this sorted.

 * It’s great to hear that we managed to get that previous error sorted out. Now,
let’s tackle the issue of Google Pay and Apple Pay not showing up at checkout
even though you’ve enabled them in Stripe. There could be several reasons for
   this.
 * First off, remember that Google Pay and Apple Pay will only appear as payment
options if the customer’s device supports and is set up for these payment methods.
So, if you’re testing on a device that doesn’t have Google Pay or Apple Pay,
you won’t see these options. Check out this useful guide on 👉 [**Resolving: The express checkout button is not showing**](https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#the-stripe-payment-method-is-not-showing)**.**
 * Next, you need to ensure that your site has SSL enabled. This is because Google
Pay and Apple Pay need your site to operate over HTTPS. You can confirm this
by checking your site’s URL. If it starts with ‘[https://](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/stripe-payment-plugin-2/?output_format=md)‘
then you’re all set with SSL.
 * Also, make sure you’ve correctly set up the payment methods in your Stripe Dashboard.
Google Pay and Apple Pay need to be enabled in your Stripe settings. Here’s a
handy guide on 👉 [**Express Checkouts**](https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#express-checkouts).

   checkouts-settings.png?ssl=1)
 * Finally, a theme or plugin conflict could be stopping the payment options from
appearing. You can test this by briefly switching to a default WordPress theme
and disabling all other plugins apart from WooCommerce and Stripe. If the payment
options then show up, your theme or a plugin could be the culprit.
 * If you’ve gone through all these steps and still have issues, please let me know.
It would be really helpful if you could also send a screenshot of your Stripe
settings in WooCommerce, and any error messages you’re getting.
 * It would also be great if you could share your site’s System Status report. This
will give us a clearer picture of your site’s setup and could help us identify
the issue. You can find it via `**WooCommerce > Status**`. Select `**Get system
   report**` and then `**Copy for support**`.

   these under `**WooCommerce > Status > Logs**`.
