# Strip query string

 * Hello,
 * I have a bunch of old URL’s like /component/eventbooking/events-calendar?layout
   =daily&day=2016-04-07&Itemid=175 that keep getting 404 errors. Those pages no
   longer exist so I’m trying to just redirect them all to /shows/, but nothing 
   I try is working.
 * How to just strip off all the query parameters if “component/eventbooking/events-
   calendar” matches?

 * I too have this issue… I want to know how to set the plugin to ignore the query
   string after the shortened URL – as the query string is added by social media,
   so many links we give out are not working.

 * Actually I appear to have solved it by checking the ‘regex’ box to the right 
   of each entry. Ironically, it stops my redirections from being ‘rejects’ !! LOL
