Could you please tell me how I can translate (in the website main and only language that is italian) the following strings?

    • “This email address is already subscribed to the list.”
    • “Email Address*”
    • “Success, you’ve been signed up! Please look for our confirmation email.”

All other strings are displayed in the correct language.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there @francescor

Thanks for your post. I’m afraid that these strings are not editable through the front-facing options of the plugin. That said, there are two workarounds to consider.

First, there is a section in the plugin’s notes that detail how you can go about editing these strings by editing the plugin directly. Here’s a link to that guide: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp/#other_notes

If you’re not in a position to manipulate those files yourself, you can deactivate the Javascript functionality in the plugin settings and redirect the submission to a MailChimp Thank You Page. That process is detailed a bit further in the MailChimp Knowledge Base here: https://kb.mailchimp.com/lists/signup-forms/design-and-host-your-own-thank-you-pages

I realize this isn’t quite ideal, so I’ve passed this piece of feedback along to our team so we can make this easier with future updates to the plugin.

Thanks for your feedback, and let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.
