Strings not translated

    Hi

    I used this plugin and also tried manually but strings in woocommere-nl_NL are not translated. Both .po and .mo are located in wp-content/languages/plugins/

    I.e. the Search field placeholder ´Search Products…´ in http://bon.webzo4all.nl is not translated, even if it is translated manually.
    These are the .po stings in nl_NL.

    msgid “Search Products”
    msgstr “Producten zoeken”

    and

    #: templates/product-searchform.php:28
    msgctxt “placeholder”
    msgid “Search Products…”
    msgstr “Producten zoeken…”

    I don´t understand that because I have a lot of strings to translate (also in single-product view).

    Anyone a clue ?

    Are you saying you have the same problem when you use other software to do your translations?

    I use Notepad++ for it.
    But for what I understand now it must be configured on UTF-8 instead of ANSI ?

    Yes, the file is UTF8-encoded as it says in the PO header.

    You can save your files in any valid encoding, but what you mustn’t do is convert the encoding wrongly as it appears you have done with Notepad.

    So I have to get back to the original file ?
    Then in Notepad++ (UTF-8 setting) edit it and save it again in UTF-8.

    Is that the reason that I can´t use that file nomore because I once saved it in ANSI with Notepad++?

    I prefer to change it manually by Notepad++ instead of changing with plugins.

    Hold on a second. I’m getting my threads mixed up. Why are we talking about file encodings? Your problem seems unrelated.
