  • Hi @zinanga can you help Pieterjan with this issue?

    Hi,

We are checking the subject of the texts with the relevant department and will return with an answer very soon.

    Hi @nekojonez,

The name of the feature is Website Kits, or just kits.
Initially they were called “Template Kits”. This was done in order to differentiate kits from “themes”, but still fit them into the terminology of the WordPress ecosystem – as “templates” are the layouts of pages and recurring site parts.
After significant user research, we changed the name of the feature to Website Kits. We found it’s more intuitive to both WordPress and general users alike.
However, no new references have been made to the feature under that name in several months.
We will be re-releasing the Kit Library with corrected strings soon and are currently mapping other instances that need to be updated.

    Thanks for your feedback.

@ozyeger That’s totally understandable, but please keep in mind that if you submit something to SVN, translate.wp.org also updates… And some locales try to fix fuzzy strings (strings that got changed in a new release) as fast as possible.

It was kind of annoying that in a week or two, those strings flipped back and forth and back and forth between “website kit” and “template kit”. It just adds on work for some locales.

It would be kind of you all if you’d keep that in mind 😉 It’ll improve translation flows by a lot. Especially since we need to be sure what the end string’ll be 😉
