Title: String translation doesn't work Last modified: August 24, 2016 --- # String translation doesn't work * Resolved [Honza Felt](https://wordpress.org/support/users/honzikf/) * (@honzikf) * [11 years ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/string-translation-doesnt-work/) * Hi Chouby, * I am running Polylang on [http://www.followmehome.cz](http://www.followmehome.cz) with the following configuration. * – wpcasa version: 1.3.8 – wpcasa polylang version: 1.0.6 – polylang version: 1.7.2 * Whenever I attempt to translate a taxonomy (Features, Property Types, Categories), the system doesn’t let me. * Please see [here](http://www.followmehome.cz/Capture1.png) – I can’t get the word dishwasher translated into “myčka nádobí”. Furthermore, the Czech version of the dishwasher (myčka nádobí) feature doesn’t even appear when I select the language into Czech. * Furthermore, when I switch the language into Czech and try to edit a listing, it offers no options in the sidebar ([see here](http://www.followmehome.cz/Capture2.png)). * To give you an idea, here is my thought process. Maybe you’ll be able to spot the mistake I’m making. * I’d like to create the framework for listings I am about to upload, so I can later just pick them from the list. That means creating new features, property types, locations and categories before I create the listings themselves. * Creating the location / property type/ category / features in English isn’t a problem, but translating it to Czech is ([see here](http://www.followmehome.cz/Capture3.png)). The translation just never shows up in the Czech language and when I switch to Czech. * Would you advise doing something differently? It doesn’t work. The categories, features and property types are provided by the wpCasa theme. I erased all languages, deleted the plugin and reinstalled everything from scratch. * Thank you for your support.
