• I have started getting this message when I log into wordpress:

Strict Standards: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, non-static method MBT_Featured_Book::enqueue_widget_js() should not be called statically in /home4/haristan/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 470

I’m assuming it is something to do with mybooktable. I deleted, then reinstalled mybookable, having clear all the mybooktable data, and cleared the caches, but the message still keeps displaying. If I deactivate mybooktable the message goes away and comes back when I reactivate.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me on this.

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

I turned off all the plugins in twenty twelve, including mybooktable. the message disappeared. Then I turned mybooktable back on, and the message returned.

Then I activated twenty fourteen with all the plugins deactivated. I then turned on mybookable, and the message returned.

As a bit of background, I’m trying to get a twenty twelve child theme working (every time I activate the child theme all the web formatted goes askew). My point is: I have been playing around with files and uploading child Style.css files. The only file I’ve touched that wasn’t from the child was the .htaccess file. I put a line in the beginning (all related to the child not working), then took it out when it made no difference. All of this may be completely unconnected.

It doesn’t seem to be theme related, I guess.

Assuming mybooktable is a plugin, it sounds like you need to contact the mybooktable developer about this.

esmi, sorry for being a bit thick, but where do I contact them?

Where did you download the plugin from?

I searched for it as a plugin from wordpress.org, and then wentg through the normal install and activation as other plugins.

    Thanks esmi, I will.
