  • I have the exact same problem. I’ve specified some dimensions but not all my pictures have the same dimension ratio, some are landscapes and other portraits and I even have some super long or wide. When the thumbnails appear on my gallery page they are stretched either horizontally or vertically to match the specified size.

I would like the thumbnails to be either cropped versions of the pictures or in the worst case to have different dimensions.

I would like to know if there’s something that can be changed within the plugin or if anyone knows if I can do it by generating the thumbnails in some other way. I really like this plugin, it’s clean, simple yet very beautiful and definitely better that the other ones I tried.

Just to clarify, I can’t select dimensions that will work for all my images.

Thank you for your great plugin and thank you bpedleyWP for raising the issue.

    Hi bpedleyWP,

In order to make the gallery look consistent and appealing – the thumbnails for all the images are generated of the same size. To make thumbnails with the help of crop – after changing the size of the thumbnails it is necessary to click the Update Images button on the plugin settings page to generate thumbnails with the new size. In such a case the images will not be stretched.

    Sincerely,
