I have the latest versions of WordPress, Woocommerce, and Woocommerce Services.

For some inexplicable reason, people who live out west in the USA, get some really crazy high shipping costs.

For example, sending two 6.5oz shirts to myself (13oz total), via priority mail, in Columbus OH, would be around $7. To send them to Chicago is $7.50. But to send them to Arizona, my shipping calculator charged $59!!!! Priority overnight didn’t even come back that high – it was $35.99. Obviously, this is NOT the correct cost of the shipping. I had another incident a few weeks back that I didn’t think anything of, shipping a 1 ounce package to Arizona ended up being $16 Priority – in reality it was about $7 if memory serves.

This is undoubtedly costing me sales, and I find it really weird! Any ideas?

    Hi there @suzzie526,

Could you first send us your system status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here.

Second, would you be able to tell us the dimensions of that product in question plus the origin and destination addresses? It doesn’t need to be a full address but a state and city and zip would be helpful.

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions or want to continue working on this issue please do start a new thread. 🙂
