After i was creating the startpage for my website, i checked, that i fulfill all requirements to get “green rating” in the TSF infobars next to the post in the wordpress admin menu.
However, after setting the page as the frontpage of my website, TSF suddenly indicates, that the page description now is using the word “and” 3 times, without me changing anything in the description, content or title. Also, changes in the title and description fields do not take effect anymore and the bars which are indicating the length and SEO effectiveness of the description and the title also do not change anymore.

I set the page as frontpage using:
    wp option update show_on_front page
    wp option update page_on_front $startpage

Do you have an idea, why this behaviour appears?
Greetings and keep up the good work! 🙂

    Hello!

When you change your homepage, the new page will use the settings from the Homepage SEO Settings meta box, which you can find on the SEO Settings page. These input fields may supersede the Page SEO Settings fields.

When description or title metadata are superseded in this manner, the counters related to them may get locked and will use the real value instead.

I hope this clears that up! Cheers 🙂
